Getting there, best time and parking

Rishikesh has no metro. Shared autos run along the main roads, but the Tapovan and Laxman Jhula cafes are best reached on foot, as lanes are narrow and parking is scarce. To cross to Swargashram, walk across Ram Jhula or use the ferry when it is running.

October to March is the best season, with clear views and comfortable afternoons. Cafes are busiest around the International Yoga Festival in March and on long weekends. Monsoon (July to September) can bring closures and lower river visibility. Walk-ins are the norm.

Rishikesh cafe hours change with the tourist season. Treat the times above as a guide from the source and month noted, and check before you go.
